Six Reasons to go to Bangkok

When you are privileged enough to travel, you get the chance to see the world in a way that most people don’t. I love to travel. I love the sounds, the people, the smells, the culture: it’s all magical and unknown, a world of mystery to tap into and discover for the first time. There’s also the chance to try new cocktails and delicious food, but that’s neither here nor there!

One place that has caught my eye over the years is Bangkok. It’s somewhere that attracts millions of people every year, and the promise of adding incredible experiences to my life just because I’ve travelled here is enticing enough to make me want to go. There’s the chance to stay in serviced apartments, hotels and the most beautiful homes an Airbnb management service Bangkok has to offer. However, the accommodation isn’t the only reason I want to go, and after some extensive research, here are five reasons I need to add Bangkok to my list of “must-see” places to visit.

Temples & Palaces

Is there anything more majestic than standing next to the breathtaking architecture that Bangkok has to offer? Probably not. Either way, after reading about the unique Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha, I can’t believe I haven’t already booked my ticket. I’ve seen photos of the Temple of Dawn, which gives you a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River, and falling in love doesn’t entirely cover the feeling!

The Food

Everywhere in Asia is said to street food that is on par – if not better – than the food served up in the spectacular restaurants. Bangkok is just the right place to be if searching for unique tastes, and with the street food on the corners selling fresh food all day long, it’s hard to say no to a visit!

I LOVE Shopping

Bangkok is said to have some of the best places to shop, from markets to high-end shopping centres. Now, I love to shop. I love trying on new clothes and picking up trinkets, and Bangkok is sure to add some flair to my wardrobe!

Experiencing New Things

Floating market, anyone? Adding some authenticity to a trip to Bangkok is the floating markets. You can see the merchants on their wooden boats on the water selling their wares, from fresh fruit to the signature dish, “boat noodle”. This is something I’ve got to experience at least once, right?

It’s Easy To Get To

Bangkok is easily accessed from major cities around the world, and there are two airports in Bangkok to choose from. Both are convenient for the city, and I like this about Bangkok: it’s easy to get to and not complicated to get away from the airport on arrival.

There are plenty of places I want to see around the world, but Bangkok tops the list as somewhere that could bring new experiences, tastes and chances to understand other cultures. It’s going to happen one day!
